It’s 2030 and sustainable practices are a must. In the culinary industry, this means introducing new alternatives to traditional food groups. Insects and algae have become common household staples, but new foods mean new and unexpected allergies. In conjunction with a continuously rising population encouraging people to live with roommates, 2030 faces an unprecedented number of food-related allergic reactions.
In a world where more and more people are developing allergies, Alle provides a creative and effective way to cook for multiple people with multiple allergies in one home.
Designed for communal living spaces, Alle is a modular lighting system that can recognize allergens on the surface of your countertop. Based on the science photochemistry, which is the study of how proteins react to light, Alle “sees” allergens by reading what type of light waves are bouncing off of foods. Knowing which allergens are in your space, and where they are can help prevent cross-contamination and accidental reactions.

Meet Alle
The Alle modular lighting system lives in your home disguised as a decorative kitchen lamp but expands when needed. The panels rotate outwards to expand the amount of area that can be seen by the sensors.
